Saturday 12/3 - Arrive in Costa Rica

Hotel transport is provided.
No meals are provided today because of various flight arrival times.
Depending on arrival time, you might want to check on what local (“optional” tours) are available from the hotel concierge.

OVERNIGHT IN SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA

Sunday 12/4 - Leave San Jose

  • Breakfast
  • Departure from the San Jose hotel will be from the main parking lot.  The Van will be there.  
  • Leave San Jose
  • Tour (Included): This tour is in a beautiful setting and shows a variety of animals in Costa Rica. This is an animal reserve that rehabilitates injured, sick animals, or abandoned babies. They work to bring all animals back to health and release them back into the wild if they can live on their own. These animals are only caged for rehab or protection. Wear comfortable clothes & shoes for experiencing the wildlife of Costa Rica.
  • Lunch buffet on the way to the beach. (Included)
  • Stop at Monkey Beach.
  • Arrive at the hotel in the southern beach area.
  • Enjoy your surroundings/play pickleball.
  • Open afternoon & evening pickleball available.

Monday - 12/5

  • Beaches and/or PB in the morning
  • Lunch
  • Leave after sunset.
  • Open afternoon & evening pickleball available, weather permitting.

  • Breakfast buffet at hotel
  • Free day for pickleball, optional tours, enjoying the beach, or using the many hotel facilities.
  • Dinner at beach resort
  • Tomorrow, we leave for the Central Highlands

Wednesday 12/7

NOTE: We leave for the Central Highlands today

  • Check out at noon. Bring your bags to the bus.
  • We will have lunch before we leave.
  • leave at 1 p.m.
  • Stop at Monkey Beach on the way to San Ramon. 
  • Arrive in Central Highlands and check in.
  • Time to wander the typical Costa Rican town.
  • Dinner at a fun pizza place with a varied menu of other food items as well.
Thursday 12/8

NOTE: WE LEAVE FOR LA FORTUNA AREA TODAY

  • Be ready to leave at 7:30 a.m.  Have your bags on the bus before going in for breakfast.
  • Butterfly farm tour
  • Coffee farm tour with lunch.  
  • Drive to the La Fortuna area.
  • Dinner is any time from 6:30 to 9:30
  • Enjoy some PB before or after dinner.
  • Choose an optional tour such as a hot springs soak, night walk, or a massage.

Friday 12/9

  • Pickleball clinic
  • Lots of time to practice new skills.
  • Free time in the afternoon to take a tour, wander, play PB, or relax.  (See “optional tours” below for ideas).  
  • Open afternoon & evening pickleball available.

OVERNIGHT IN THE LA FORTUNA AREA

Saturday 12/10

  • Pickleball clinic times to be announced.
  • Lots of time to practice your new skills.
  • Free time in the afternoon to take a tour, wander, play PB, or relax.  (See “Optional Tours” on the website menu bar for ideas). 
  • Open afternoon & evening pickleball available.
  • Tomorrow, you leave for San Jose.

OVERNIGHT IN THE LA FORTUNA AREA

Sunday 12/11 Tour today (on the way to San Jose)

  • Have your bags on the bus by noon.
  • You will eat lunch at the hotel before you leave.
  • Historic & cultural tour as you travel to San Jose.  This place has an amazing tour with incredible ingenuity from the past, and it is also a great chance to purchase souvenirs for yourselves, family, and friends.  This is a beautiful, well-stocked shop with a ton of variety.
  • Dinner in San Jose is not included tonight.

OVERNIGHT IN SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA

Monday 12/10 - Fly Home
  • Transport to San Jose Airport, Juan Santamaria Int’l Airport is included with your hotel.
