But here it is again. Featured Tour Elements

1. Brahmasthan Pre-tour

This aspect of the tour is subject to the decision of the Brahmasthan management regarding re-opening the facility to visitors. We hope to have a final determination in Q4 2022.*

In deciding on the most auspicious place to create the home for the powerful peace-creating influence for the world, Maharishi chose the geographic centre—the nucleus or heart—of India. In the language of Sthapatya Veda, of Vastu Vidya, this vital center point is called the Brahmasthan.  You are invited to start your India experience at this beautiful and peaceful place that Maharishi called “the holiest of all the holy places of India.” Note visitor experiences.

NOTE: Our tour prices as stated include the pre-tour. We will revise those prices if it is determined that the Brahmasthan will not be open, or for people who want to begin in Jabalpur.

2. Jabalpur

Jabalpur is a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. On a rocky hilltop on the western outskirts of the city is the Madan Mahal Fort, built in 1116. Farther west, the centuries-old Pisanhari Ki Madiya Jain temple offers views of the city. Another Jain temple, Hanumantal Bada Jain Mandir, sits on the shore of a lake in the north. The central Rani Durgavati Museum displays intricately carved sculptures.

3. Maharishi Smarak

A spectacular sight on the banks of the auspicious Triveni Sangam (the confluence of the three holy rivers: Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati), towering high on the banks of holy Ganga and visible everywhere from the city of Prayag (Allahabad). The Maharishi Smarak architecture uses Samadhi Mandir construction, fully carved inside and outside, without any iron, completely built with interlocking stones and beams. The Maharishi Smarak stands as a timeless memorial to the eternal wisdom of life brought to the world by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

4. Varanasi

Varanasi is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh dating to the 11th century B.C. Regarded as the spiritual capital of India, the city draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites. Along the city’s winding streets are some 2,000 temples, including the Vindyachal temple.

5. Taj Mahal

We think you know.

6. Rishikesh

Maharishi’s original ashram in the Himalayas

And then there’s this:

At the end of the tour, some may decide to extend their stay with a blissful Maharishi Ayurvedic treatment at the Maharishi Ayurveda Hospital in Rishikesh

*Due to the lack of medical facilities nearby, Brahmasthan visitors must be under the age of 75. If you are blessed with more years than that total, you can always join the tour after the Brahmasthan element. Please contact Paul Stokstad to discuss as needed: pstokstad@miu.edu or 641-451-4219
